Linda Sue Turner Eubanks, age 78, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 28, 2022. She was a 1962 graduate of Leakesville High School and continued her education at Jones County Junior College. She received her degree in education from the University of Southern Mississippi and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Delta Kappa Gamma. She taught for 29 years in the Greene and Perry County school districts. She also served on the Greene County School Board for six years. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Leakesville and served as the church clerk for over a decade. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend who will be greatly missed in the community.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman, Sr. and Eva Mae Turner; brother, Herman Turner, Jr.; great grandson, Cole Jamison Heathcock; numerous beloved extended family.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 51 years, Malcolm Eubanks; children, Harold Zachery (Jen) Eubanks and Laura Eubanks (Alan) Dueitt; grandchildren, Jami Keragan (Clinton) Heathcock, Jesse Laurine (Stephen) Davis, Joey Alauran Dueitt and Zachery Woodard Eubanks; great grandchild, Curtis Lane Heathcock; siblings, Phil (Susan) Turner, Mona Jean (Mike) Young and Lou (Noel) Hillman; sister-in-law, Laverne “Sissy” Phillips; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, December 1, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Leakesville beginning at 3:30 PM with Bro. Richard Stillwell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2:30 PM.
