Lewis Franklin Shoemaker Obituary
Lewis Franklin Shoemaker, age 80, passed away on August 4, 2026. He loved spending his days fishing and hunting, finding peace in the outdoors, and relaxing at home. Some of his favorite pastimes included watching classic westerns, cheering on his favorite football teams, and never missing a good wrestling match. He will be remembered for his easygoing nature and will be missed deeply by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hilton and Ruby Shoemaker; daughter, Dana Lee Shoemaker; son, Dennis Shoemaker.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Patricia Shoemaker; children, Shirley (Gary) Fairley, Kelly (Richard) Maskew, and Eddie (April) Shoemaker; grandchildren, Hannah (Randy) Myhre, Esther (Ron) Kirksey, Caleb Lambert, Weston (Sally) Shoemaker, Madison (Jacob) McClure, Clair Shoemaker, Ashton (Morgan) Bell, River Maskew, Noah (Heaven) Maskew, and Alvie Maskew; great grandchildren, Dassah Myhre, Memphis Myhre, Ruby Myhre, America Myhre, Oliver Maskew, Charlie Maskew, Jonah Maskew, Horizon Kirksey, Bay Kirksey, Saylor Kirksey, Elias Kirksey, Kameron Kirksey, Keiron Kirksey, Grayson Shoemaker, Hudson Shoemaker, Palmer McClure, Levi Bell, Claira Bell, and Emory Bell; sister, Virgie Lee (Darwin) Backlin; numerous other relatives and friends.
The Visitation will be Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Moments Funeral Home from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM The Funeral Service will begin at 4:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Gary Cronier and Bro. Ronnie Neilsen officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Garden Cemetery. Pallbearers include Weston Shoemaker, Caleb Lambert, River Maskew, Noah Maskew, Ron Kirksey, Randy Myhre, Tommy Shoemaker, and Joey Colburn.
