Leon Earl Douglas, age 82, passed away peacefully June 19, 2026. He worked for Scott Paper company for many years. He was a blueberry and vegetable farmer and enjoyed fishing, watching Alabama football and Atlanta Braves baseball, as well as flying small aircrafts and running. He will be greatly missed.         

He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and June Douglas; and brother, Michael Douglas.   

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Alice Douglas; constant furry companion, Miss Polly; children, Terry (Dawn) Douglas, Tim (Leslie) Douglas, Michelle (Jeff) Bunn, Matt (Rachel) Douglas, Christina and Mark Evans; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Anita Boutwell; numerous other relatives and friends.      

The Visitation will be Tuesday, June 30, 2026 from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at The First Church of Lucedale. The Memorial Service will begin at 7:00 PM in the church sanctuary with Bro. David Newton officiating.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the amazing team at Gentiva Hospice for the compassionate care, kindness, and support they provided Leon.
