Larry Gene Parker, age 82, passed away June 9, 2022. He loved the Lord and his family. He was a faithful member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed his work as a Lineman and enjoyed the people he worked with. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, brother and friend.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leroy “Shorty” Parker and Alice Mason Parker; siblings, Gilbert Parker, Douglas Parker, Leroy Parker, Butch Serda, Glenda Riner and Lanita “Peatie” Hale.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 58 years, Ethelee Havard Parker; children, Larry Gene (Leslie) Parker, Jr, Lynette Parker and Ouida (Joey) McDaniel; grandchildren, Alaina, Evie and Kurtis McDaniel; siblings, Jimmy Parker, Billy (Shelly) Parker, James Serda, Yvonne “Bonnie” (William) Freeman, Montez (Bobby) Brown, Evelyn Garrison, Mona Randolph, Ann Parker White and Linda Ingram; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The Visitation for Larry Parker will be Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 PM in the church sanctuary with Bro. Benson Bexley and Bro. David Whitaker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers include Edmond Havard, Larry Freeman, Billy Strickland, John Mizell, Dave Shanahan and Marty Davis.
