Kenneth Luther Lancaster

Kenneth Luther “Kenny” Lancaster, age 79, passed away peacefully at home on August 15, 2023. Kenny loved talking and visiting with his family and friends. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, being outdoors and watching football. He was a faithful member of Lucedale Church of God. He retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding after 43 years. He also served on the George County school board from 1986 until 1992 as well as the Combined Utilities board for 15 years.

He is preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Jeffery Lancaster; parents, Clinton Wilson Lancaster and Florence Aphra Lanham Lancaster; siblings, Jimmy Hugh Lancaster, Joe Evans Lancaster and Arnold Wesley Lancaster.   

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 57 years, Connie Woodard Lancaster; children, Cassandra (Kevin) White and Jennifer A. Lancaster; grandchildren, Jeffrey Lancaster (Jordan) Cochran, Jordan Lee Cochran and Micah Lane White; great grandchildren, Laikyn Cochran, Logan Cochran, Parker Cochran, Lillian Rae Cochran and Ollie Cochran; siblings, Diane (Charles) Hood, John Fred (Jan) Lancaster and Jerry Lancaster; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.        

The Visitation will be Monday, August 21, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Lucedale Church of God. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, August 22, 2023 beginning at 11:00 AM with Bro. Brandon Stanford officiating. Burial will follow at Arlie Ray Woodard Family Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jamie Dement, Jeffrey Cochran, Jordan Cochran, Clint Lancaster, Cord Fallon and Ryan Hudson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Stephen Hood, Jason Fallon, Vince Welford, Logan Cochran and Micah White.
