Kathy Stewart passed from this life to her eternal life on May 11, 2025, Mother’s Day, at Providence Hospital, with her family by her side. Kathy was born in Collins, Mississippi, on November 27, 1967 to Sammie McClain and Myrtle Pace. Kathy’s home was in Agricola, Mississippi, where she lived with her husband, Glenn Stewart.
To Kathy family was number one and she loved her boys and grandchildren more than anything. It’s fitting that God released her from this Earth on Mother’s Day, because that was a title she wore proudly. She loved having company and cooking for the people she loved. Kathy was blunt , spoke the truth and if she didn’t like you, you’d know it.
In her early days she went to nursing school and also went to school for massage therapy, where she became a massage therapist. She spent time as an insurance adjuster where she got to travel, which is another thing she loved to do. She will always be remembered for her loving and feisty spirit. She loved just living in the moment and having a good time. Kathy loved her animals and treated them like kids. She loved music, Alabama State and most of all, she loved her family.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Sammie McClain; sister, Michelle Carter.
She is survived by her mother, Myrtle Pace; husband, Glenn Stewart; children, Hayden and Kaytelin Stewart, Matthew and Mande Wade, Ty Byrd, Steven Wade, Terry and Crystal Stewart; grandchildren, Lincoln Stewart, Addie and Emily Wade, Lottie Wade, Hunter and Colton Byrd, Jake and Kaleigh Stewart; siblings, Melissa Alexander, Jerry Dossett, Terry Dossett, Sammie McClain, Jr.; lots of nieces and nephews that she loved like her own.
