Karl Thomas Henderson passed away February 24, 2021 at the age of 57. He graduated George County High School with High Honors in 1981. He attended several universities including the University of Southern Mississippi, where he received his Elementary Teaching degree and became a Registered Nurse. He later joined the Air Force as a radio Communications Specialist and proudly served as Sergeant. While teaching and in the Air Force reserve, Karl was called back into action as a flight nurse during operation Iraqi Freedom. After his time in the Air Force, he continued teaching special need’s students. He later became a full-time RN for the state of Washington. He enjoyed helping others and was a seasoned world-traveler. Above all, his greatest joy and accomplishment was his daughter, Grace.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bryan and Emma Martin; paternal grandparents, Lige and Effie Henderson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Heather Campbell; daughter, Grace Campbell; parents, J.T. and Violet Henderson; siblings, Todd Henderson, Stance (Vickie) Henderson and Kristie (Casey) Dillistone.
The family will hold a Memorial Service for Karl Henderson Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Journey Church beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Journey Cemetery.
