Joyce Doggett Welford

Joyce Welford, age 77, went home to be with the Lord on December 17, 2024, peacefully with her family by her side. She was a 1966 graduate of George County High School and a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Lucedale. Her passion in life was putting others before herself and helping anyone in need. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and dear friend to the community. Her spirit of serving will live on through all who knew her.              

She is preceded in death by her mother, Julia Parker and step-father, Sam Parker; father, Alonzo Doggett.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 56 years, Lloyd Welford; children, Joel (Mindi) Welford, Chad (Amy) Welford, and Jason (Kisha) Welford; grandchildren, Julie (Alan) Davidson, Tiffany (Derek) Holder, Brooke (Jakob) Green, Emma Welford, Kade Welford, Wyatt Welford, and Katherine Welford; great grandchildren, Natalie Holder, Audrey Kate Holder, Cameron Davidson and Olivia Davidson; siblings, Lonnie Doggett and Regina Rowell; numerous other relatives and friends.   

The Visitation will be Friday, December 20, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Eddie Davidson officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
