Joseph "Joey" A. Rogers

Joseph A. "Joey" Rogers, age 65, passed away October 9, 2024. He was a 1979 Graduate of George County High School. He worked with Coca Cola for over 42 years and was known by many in the community as the “Coke Man”. He was an avid outdoorsman who greatly enjoyed dog hunting, dove hunting, fishing, and watching sports.                   

He is preceded in death by his parents Jimmy “Pook” Rogers and Roma Fern Cochran Rogers; siblings, Connie Rogers Thomley, Donnie Rogers, Myra Rogers Baxter; paternal grandparents, Shelby and Lora Rogers; maternal grandparents, Joe and Cornelia Cochran.   

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Elaine Welford Rogers; children, Meagan (Kyle) Green, and Tori (Jade) Cauley; grandchildren, Manning Green, Presley Green, Jo Rhett Green, Camille Green, Kaden Cauley, and Kylie Cauley; mother-in-law, Tina Welford; brother-in-law, Phillip Welford; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.        

The Visitation will be Sunday, October 13, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Monday, October 14, 2024 beginning at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jeff Trehen and Bro. Arvis Wiggins officiating. Burial will follow in Crossroads Methodist Church cemetery.
