Joseph Edward Nugent

Joseph Nugent, age 57, passed away December 22, 2020. He was born January 22, 1963 in Buffalo, New York. He greatly enjoyed football and pulling for the Bills. He proudly served in the United States Navy. He also worked for Huntington Ingalls as an electrician for 35 years. He was a member of Mercy Ministries Church. He greatly enjoyed gardening, running and cooking. His greatest joy in life was his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, loving father and Pawpaw. His outgoing personality will be deeply missed.         

He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Mary Nugent; brother, Earl Patrick Nugent.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Sylvia Nugent; sons, Jacob Edward Nugent and Matthew Caleb (Heather) Nugent; grandchildren, David Nugent, Caleb Nugent and Mercy Nugent; siblings, Mary Wunsch, Judy (John) Giuseppetti, Diane Koch, Jim Nugent and Michael (Traci) Nugent; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.                         

The Celebration of Life Service for Joseph Nugent will be Sunday, January 3, 2021 beginning 6:00 PM at Mercy Ministries Church with Bro. Jamie Cochran officiating.
