Johnny Lee Daniels

Johnny Lee Daniels went to be with his heavenly father on August 18, 2025.  He entered life on June 22, 1951, to the late Walter Daniels and Lucy Bolton of Lucedale, Mississippi. He was the second of three children; the eldest, Walter L. Moye and the youngest, Ford L. Daniels.

 He attended George County High School and was a proud graduate of the Class of 1971. After graduating from high school, Johnny Lee began his career with Huntington-Ingalls Shipyard where he retired with many years of experience as a pipefitter. After retiring from the shipyard, he became a professional lawn care attendant.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Daniels and Lucy Bolton; nephews, Steven Bufford and Joshua Gautier; grandsons, Christopher Jackson and Marcus L. Daniels, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife, Angelia Wilson Daniels of Lucedale, Mississippi; one daughter, Destiny Blackston of Petal, Mississippi; four sons, Marcus L. Daniels, Willie (Tara) Bennett of Lucedale, Mississippi, Christopher L. Daniels of Sioux City, Iowa, and Wayne (Mary) Bennett of Gulfport, Mississippi; nephew he raised as his very own, Jacob (MeLinda) Gautier of Lucedale, Mississippi; brothers, Walter (Melissa) Moye, Sr. and Ford (Tina) Daniels of Lucedale, Mississippi; aunts, Betty (Sam) McLeod of McLain, Mississippi, Cleo Moye, of Beaumont, Mississippi, and Glory Moye of Moss Point, Mississippi; 25 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; devoted family member, Ronnie Moye, Sr; special friend, Minister Mike Boulton, both of Lucedale, Mississippi; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, dear friends and acquaintances who loved him deeply.

The Visitation will be Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Alfonzia Moye Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Merrill Cemetery. Pallbearers will include, Ford L. Daniels, LaDarius Webb Daniels, Rashad Wiggins, Richard Moye, Barry Moody, and DeJuan Simmons. Honorary bearers include, Ford L Daniels Sr, Walter Moye, Terry Dortch, Billy F. Moye, Olen Bolton Jr, and Tony McLeod.
