John Steven Hempstead

John Steven Hempstead, age 73, passed away October 12, 2025.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Webb and Christine Hempstead; mother-in-law, Mary Evelyn Whatley, great granddaughter, Camille Smith.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 45 years, Karen Hempstead; children, Bradley (Christie) Jones, Crystal (Brad) Morgan, and Chase (Kelsea) Hempstead; grandchildren, Landon (Baylen) Smith, Will Jones, Cole Pugh, Dawson Dye, Lauren Morgan, Drake Bond, Isabelle Hempstead, and Asher Hempstead; great grandchildren; siblings, Gail (Scott) Jones, Theresa (John Henry) Foster, and Tim (Connie) Hempstead; numerous other relatives and friends.

The Visitation will be Wednesday, October 15, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Brian Lewis officiating.
