Jessie Mack James Obituary

Jessie Mack James, age 67, passed away on December 28, 2025. He was a proud graduate of Leakesville High School and continued his education at Jones County Junior College. In his younger years, his love for music carried him from church to church in a family quartet, a gift that brought joy to many. He attended The Island Church in Orange Beach, worshiping with a heart full of faith and song. An avid outdoorsman, he found great joy in fishing and hunting every chance he could. Jessie was a member of The Marshals (Mardi Gras Association) in Orange Beach, where he formed a strong brotherhood of friends he dearly considered family.

Jessie was an electrician by trade and served as a Substation Construction Manager for Chain Electric. He was not only highly skilled at his work, but also deeply valued the team he worked alongside — a group that became like family.

Jessie was caring, loved deeply, and was proud of the legacy he leaves behind.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Taylor and Billie Jean Davis James; sister, Cheryl Lazette James; nephew, Nathan James.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Nikki Parnell James; children, Carrie Michelle James (Bo) Strickland and Mike (Jessica) James; grandchildren, Caleb Strickland, Chloe Strickland, Corbin Strickland, and Nolan James; siblings, Phil (Jennie) James, and Chris (Patty) James; beloved and beautiful King Charles Cavaliers, Stella and Bella James; parents-in-law, Tilman "Tib" Parnell and Jackie Parnell; numerous other relatives and friends.
