Jason Christopher Craft, born October 2, 1985, entered the arms of our Heavenly Father March 30, 2024. Jason was a lifelong resident of Lucedale, Mississippi. He graduated from George County High School in 2004 and continued his post-secondary education at the University of South Alabama, where he graduated with highest honors and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a major in English and a minor in History. Most of Jason’s adult working career was spent serving the community at Century Bank in the IT department. Jason was a wiz when it came to computers and technology, and he loved solving problems and figuring things out. He earned his CompTIA A+ Certification while working for Century Bank. In 2022, Jason also studied and earned his Licensed Insurance Producer License to sell Life Insurance. He was so smart and could accomplish anything he set his mind to.
Jason’s greatest loves were his family, his beautiful daughter Ellie Grace, and his four-legged friends – Rilo, Jackson, and Addie. Jason was a kind soul, deep thinker, loved music and going to live concerts, nature, animals, and running. Jason was always up for any adventure Ellie came up with. He loved spending time with her and she brought so much joy and absolute happiness into his life. He could always be found wandering a nature trail, all dogs in tow, listening to his music and enjoying the serenity around him.
Jason is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Lenora Grace Craft; maternal grandmother, Billie Hector; maternal grandfather, Joseph Hector.
Those left to cherish Jason’s precious memory are his parents, father, JC Craft, Jr. and mother, Debra Craft; sister, Shelby Rayborn; brother-in-law Tyler Rayborn; nephew Coleston Rayborn; daughter, Ellie Grace Craft and her mother, Rachel Hartnell; grandfather, JC Craft, Sr.; his four-legged loves, Rilo, Jackson, and Addie; many other family and friends.
