James Larry Holliman, 71, passed from this life on January 8, 2025, to be with his Heavenly Father, something he strived to do his entire life.
Larry was born March 22, 1953, to Monroe and Beatrice Holliman in Lucedale, MS. He graduated from George County High School in 1971. He was a faithful member of Abundant Grace United Pentecostal Church. Larry worked at Ingalls Shipbuilding and later became a car salesman, where he made many lifelong friends. In his spare time he loved to fish, hunt, and spend time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Beatrice Holliman and sister, Ruthie Henderson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Janice Holliman; children, Alisha (Dj) Loper, Darrick (Ashley) Holliman; grandchildren, Kaitlin, Emily Loper, and Asher Holliman; sisters, Carolyn (Al) McMillan and Pearline (Frank) Smith. Numerous nieces, nephews, and extended relatives.
The Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 2:00PM until 3:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Randy Salsberry officiating. Pallbearers include Eric McMillan, Ron McMillan, Mike Smith, Donald Henderson, Jason Frey, Jamey Spears, and Scotty Henderson. Honorary Pallbearers are Duane Stringer, Dj Loper, and Greg Ellis. Burial will be in Scotland Cemetery.
