James E., "Mr. Jimmy" Davis, age 80, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026. Also known as Foots", he was a lifelong member of the Lucedale community. Mr. Jimmy was a proud graduate of Agricola High School's class of 1964. He was a faithful and devoted member of First Church of Lucedale, where he served as a trustee and faithfully helped in the church nursery with his wife for many years. Generations of children were blessed by his kindness, and they grew up loving and respecting the gentle man who always welcomed them with a smile.
Mr. Jimmy was a dedicated, hardworking businessman who founded Warrior Fabrication LLC. He grew the business through his determination and hard work to be the success it is today.
Known for his sense of humor and practical jokes, Mr. Jimmy brought laughter wherever he went. He especially loved spending time on the golf course, enjoying the game and the fellowship that came with it.
Above all, Mr. Jimmy was known for his generous heart. He was the kind of man who would help anyone in need without hesitation. He was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, and a friend to many. His life leaves behind a legacy of Christian faith, generosity, and integrity—truly big shoes to fill.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. James Nathan Davis and Retha Lee Davis Welch.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, including his loving wife, Mary Beth Gambles Davis; children, Robbie (Rhonda) Davis, Tom Davis, and Beth Davis (Frank) Cochran; grandchildren, Paige (Destin) Beech, Rayna Broussard, Drew (Kayla) Davis, Kirstyn (Travis) Tallent, and Kyle (Anna) Cochran; great grandchildren, Eyla Portillo, Kaylon Shelton, Boone Tallent, Talon Garland, Kylee England, and Teagan Cochran; numerous other relatives and friends.
The Visitation will be Friday, March 13, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. David Newton, Bro. Bill Poole and Bro. Tommy Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Movella Assembly of God Cemetery. Pallbearers include Shorty Morales, Joel Brown, Travis Tallent, Destin Beech, Drew Davis, and Kyle Cochran. Honorary Pallbearers include Ronnie Miller and Keith Brown.
