James Dean "J. D. " Blankenship

James Dean “J. D.” Blankenship, age 35, passed away March 17, 2021. He was a 2005 Graduate of George County High School. He greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. His greatest joy in life was his girls and spending time with his family. He was a loving father, son, brother and friend who will be greatly missed.          

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Eley Byrd and paternal grandfather, James L. Blankenship.     

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, James “Skip” and Paula Byrd Blankenship; daughters, Zoe and Jorgia Blankenship; brother, Eric Blankenship; maternal grandmother, Ginger Byrd; paternal grandmother, Barbara Blankenship; Uncle Dean and Aunt Rhonda, a beloved host of uncles, aunts, cousins other relatives and friends.                    

The Visitation for J. D. Blankenship will be Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel beginning at 7:00 PM with Bro. Larry Havard officiating.   

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Costumes for a Cause, P. O. Box 3868, Gulfport, MS 39505.
