Jackie Wayne Christy

Jackie Wayne Christy, age 72, passed away June 29, 2025. He enjoyed music, retirement, but most importantly being a beloved Pawpaw, Papa, Dad, Husband, and Friend. He will be dearly missed.          

He is preceded in death by his son, Jackie Wayne Christy Jr; father, John Lee Christy; mother, Gladys Lorraine Clark; stepfather, Elvin Clark; sister, Betty Sue Johnson.  

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Brenda Lois Christy; children, JJ McLain, Susan (Johnathan) Hite, Sarah (Albert) Jordan, James (Olivia) Christy; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Fay Beth Smith and Ann Bradley; brother, Jimmie Christy; numerous other relatives and friends.

The Visitation will be Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Moments Funeral Home Leakesville from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be Thursday, July 3, 2025 in the funeral home chapel beginning at 11:00 AM with Bro. Myron Schilling and Bro. David Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Millard Clark Cemetery. Pallbearers will include, Eddie Breland, Johnathan Hite, Chuck McLain, Garth Breland, Mason Stewart, David Eubanks, Brian Higginbotham, Weston McLeod. Honorary bearers include, Colton Eubanks and Willie Pierce.
