Jack Jerry Vasko, age 85, passed away January 3, 2026. He proudly served in the United States Navy and often spoke of his time in the service. He found great joy in his work as a truck driver, especially in seeing the beauty the country had to offer. He was a true sports fanatic and spent many hours watching all types of sports. Alabama was his favorite team, and he took every game to heart. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a devoted husband, loving father, pawpaw, brother and friend to all.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jerry and Eunice Mildred Dana Vasko; brothers, Joe Vasko and Bobby Vasko.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Betty Bradley Vasko; children, Debbie Lynn Rathbone and Joseph David (Lucy) Vasko; grandchildren, Albert Fear, III, Molly Rathbone, Christopher Vasko, Alexander Vasko, and Zachary Vasko; brother, Jimmy Vasko; sisters, Barbara (Sonnie) Kostelecky, Lillian (David) Dittman, Carolyn (Freddie) Kostelecky, Joann (Randy) Bridges, and Mildred Easterling; numerous other relatives and friends.
The Visitation will be Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Graveside will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Alabama Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort, Alabama, with Military Honors.
