JE Holland, age 93, passed away January 29, 2025. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a faithful member of the Church of God and served as Superintendent for many years. He greatly enjoyed the outdoors, mainly deer hunting, and fishing. He loved spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed time in the kitchen, cooking a variety of dishes. He was a loving father and pawpaw who will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Esther Holland; grandchild, Breanna Faith Pope; parents, Jefferson E. Holland, Sr. and Pearlie Irene Alford Holland; brothers, Elbert Holland, Elvin Holland, Dock Holland, Mike Holland, and Willis Edward Holland; sisters, Verga Alford, Dorothy Alford and Effie Irene Holder.; Ex son-in-law, Terry Jeffords.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Mary (Butch) Collins, Rose (Poncho Rubio Morales) Rubio Morales, and Kathy Jeffords; grandchildren, Rachel Collins, Dolly (Marvin) Pope, Crystal Roberts, and Jacqueline (Ray) Fortner; great grandchildren, Jasmine Collins, Brandon Kelley, Christian Pope, Brittney Roberts, Trey Roberts, Alyssa Roberts, Lillie Coxwell, Violet Coxwell, Daisy Coxwell, Payton Coxwell, and Isabella Fortner; great-great grandchildren, Romeo James and Drako James; numerous other relatives and friends.
The Visitation will be Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home, Leakesville. The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. David Clark officiating. Burial will follow in McLeod-Magnolia Cemetery. Pallbearers include Ray Fortner, Elijah Lister, Dalton Smith, Terry Fahrney, Marvin Pope and Christian Pope. Honorary Pallbearers include Payton Coxwell and Colton James.
