Herman "Dooney" Garfield Weaver Jr.

Herman “Dooney” Garfield Weaver Jr., age 82, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2024. Dooney was born in Lucedale in 1942. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. After his service he moved to St. Bernard Parish and raised a family whom he loved very much. He owned and operated Dooney Weaver Photography and later brought the business back to Lucedale where he retired. He will be greatly missed by all who were honored to know him.               

He is preceded in death by his granddaughters, Brynm Weaver and Amanda Lopiccolo; parents, Herman Garfield Sr. and Agnes Grace Duke Weaver; sister, Edith (J.W.) Moody; brother, Glen Weaver; brother-in-laws, Melvin Howell, Bill McKeachern, and Jonny Keel.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Natalie (Charles) Stolf, Chris Weaver, Herman “Dooney” Garfield (Tracie) Weaver III, Heidi Weaver (Nick), Glen Weaver (Spring), Tassie Weaver (Bruce); grandchildren, Bailey (Scott) Herring, Taylor Luna, Kayla Stolf, Charley Weaver, Drew Weaver, Kaitlyn Weaver, Kelsey Weaver, Kiley Weaver, Michael (Ashley) Lopiccolo, Jackson Dartez, Val Weaver, Carys Weaver, Stephen Gourgues, and Tristan Gourgues; great grandchildren, Jaxsen Russell and Krew Herring; siblings, Brenda Howell, Betty (Charles) Rials, Marie McKeachern, Jan May, Nancy (Wayne) Barrow, Kathey (Ronnie) Barrow, Mae Beth Keel, Bill (Joyce) Weaver, and Tim (Kaye) Weaver; numerous other relatives and friends.

The Celebration of Life will be Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Moments Funeral Home.
