Herbert Wayne Chandler

Herbert (Wayne) Chandler, age 79, passed away November 26, 2024. He was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, but called Lucedale and the Bexley community home. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and held many jobs over the year from welder to boat captain. He was an active member at Holmes Missionary Baptist Church and a volunteer at George Regional Hospital. He was loved by all family, friends, and co-workers who will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Wood and Gloria Gereldine Chandler; daughter, Dana Belinda Chandler.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Glenda Chandler; children, Melanie (Mark) Caudle, Cindy Dolton, Belinda (Tommy) Noble, and Tara (David) Beatty; grandchildren, Jessica Harwood Guerra, Alexis Caudle, Chase Dungan, Brittnay Dungan, Bryceson Dungan, Garrett Dungan, Olivia Britton, and Daniel Barrow; great-grandchildren, Makennaih, Quinnleigh, Braylynn, Kinzleigh, Maverick, Jonah, Adelaide, and Vivian; siblings, Jerry (Joan) Chandler and Linda (Wayne) Kizzire; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The Visitation will be Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Holmes Missionary Baptist Church. The Funeral Service will begin at 5:00 PM in the church sanctuary with Bro. Nathan Bryant and Bro. William Amacker officiating.
