Henry Leon Clanton, age 87, passed away February 27, 2023. He enjoyed shooting, fishing, and golf.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Hilda Gilbert Clanton; father, Richard Clyde Clanton; mother, Odell Davis; brothers, Richard Clyde Clanton Jr. and Jeffery Clanton; and sister, Barbara Ann Clanton.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Chris (Magda) Clanton, Scott (Maria) Clanton, David Clanton; sister, Peggy Sue Clanton; sister-in-law, Clarice Chaney; grandchildren, Brittney (Dalton) Newell, Bryce (Lindsey) Clanton, Kailin Clanton, Jody Clanton, Amelia Clanton; great grandchildren, Elliot Newell, Kipton Newell, Hollis Scott Newell, Maverick Mills, and Savvy James Clanton; many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
The Visitation for Henry Leon Clanton will be Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Journey Church. The Funeral Service will begin at 5:00 PM in the church sanctuary with Bro. Barry Jemison officiating. He will be buried at Pensacola Memorial Gardens in Pensacola, FL. Pallbearers include Chris Clanton, Scott Clanton, David Clanton, Bryce Clanton, Dalton Newell, Mark Bufkin, Johnny Smith and Daniel Morgan.
