Gladys Estelle Miller, age 93, passed away February 4, 2026. She was born on September 20, 1932, to Wiley and Gladys Grimes. She was married to the love of her life Thurman Miller for 60 years and was a faithful member of Mt Pisgah Pentecostal Church.
She was a homemaker and worked for many years at her parents’ store, Grimes’ Grocery, Miller’s Grocery, and her good friends Charles and Irene Hicks. She loved people and all her customers. She was well known in the community for being a good neighbor and friend. She was an active community member until she was 91.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Miller; parents, Wiley and Gladys Grimes; brother, William “Billy” Grimes, niece, Carolyn Miller; and nephew, Mark Ritenour.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Wiley Wade (Cynthia) Miller; granddaughter, Melanie Marie Miller; sisters, Vivian Miller and Gladys “Cricket” Ritenour; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Visitation will be Monday, February 9, 2026, at Mt. Pisgah Pentecostal Church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 PM in the church chapel with Bro. Karl Causey officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Pentecostal Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Don Prine, Greg Scarbrough, Chris Grimes, Scott Bradley, Ralph Merritt, and David Ball.
The family wants to thank Leakesville rehab and nursing home, all the nurses, CNAs, aids, activity coordinators, the director, and janitors, especially Mr. James, for the care and devotion showed to Mrs. Gladys during her time there. They all went above and beyond their jobs to love and care for her.
