Garland Wayne Campbell Obituary

Garland Wayne Campbell, age 75, passed away June 19, 2026. Captain G worked as a pilot for over 40 years with Kirby Inland Marine. He was known as Poppa G to all of his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.              


He is preceded in death by his parents, W.E. and Marjorie Campbell; siblings, James Campbell, Wiley Barnes, Cordell Poteet, Billy Stevens, and Lou Havard.   


Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Susie Campbell; children, William “Brad” (Erica) Campbell, Jamie (Brian) Agee, Richard “Ricky” (Tabitha) Morrison, Nicholas “Nick” (Tammy) Morrison, Christopher “Chris” (Kristi) Morrison, and Patrick “Pat” (Donna) Morrison; grandchildren, Annalise Morrison, Aubrey Morrison, Lillian Morrison, Victoria (Toby) Stewart, Christian Morrison, Gage (Megan) Morrison, Hannah Morrison, Ella Morrison, Pacey Morrison, Magda Morrison, Aaron Agee, Avery Agee, Eden Agee, Noah Campbell, Braxton Campbell, Finn Campbell, and Theo Campbell; sister, Cathey Lowe; sibling-in-laws, Jeanette Humphrey, Mary (Herman) Smith, Jim (Holly) Gage, Allen Gage, Sharon Campbell, and Sue Barnes; numerous other relatives and friends.       


The Visitation will be Wednesday, June 24, 2026 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 PM in the church sanctuary with Bro. Desmond Pavolini and Bro. Norman Turner officiating. Graveside will follow in New Hope Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Ricky Morrison, Aubrey Morrison, Chris Morrison, Pat Morrison, Nick Morrison, and Schall Bradley. Honorary bearers include Noah Campbell, Braxton Campbell, Aaron Agee, and Max Campbell.
