Flora Birmingham

Flora Genet Birmingham, age 86, passed away August 11, 2025. The most important things to her were her faith and her family. She greatly enjoyed the outdoors especially decorating her yard, taking care of her flowers, and sitting on the porch reading her bible. In her free time, she enjoyed needle point, drawing, baking, and her Starbucks coffee. She was ready to go home and be with the Lord, but she will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Nola Smith; siblings, Mary “Adelene” (George “Babe”) Culver, Quana (Bobby) Smith, and Dalton Smith; brother-in-law, Lawrence Shackelford.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Janice “Jan” (Earl) Bufford and Michael “Mike” (Tammy) Birmingham; grandchildren, Brandi Bufford, Michael Bufford, Brandon (Blair) Birmingham; siblings, Carolyn Shackelford and Marlin “Butch” Smith; numerous other relatives and friends.

The Visitation will be Friday, August 15, 2025 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Rocky Creek Cemetery.
