Essie Mae Wood

Essie Mae Wood, age 93, passed away November 3, 2025.

She is preceded in death by her children, Lonnie Dunnam, Bruce Dunnam, and Mary Love; parents, Lonnie “Big Man” and Fanny Pierce; siblings, Loistein, John Wayne, Alice, Billy, Faulk, Bo, Donna Faye, James, Lonnie, and an infant brother; fathers of her children, Melton Dunnam and Leonard Wood; daughter-in-law, Tonya Dunnam.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Melton Dunnam, Janet Williamson, Randy (Paula) Dunnam, Leonard Dunnam, Jimmy Dunnam; grandchildren, John Dunnam, Kimberly Williamson, Allen Dunnam, Thomas Dunnam, Stanley (Destiny) Dunnam, Haley Dunnam, Jenny Dunnam, Stephine (Bobby) Maggard, Shaun Dunnam, Curtis Dunnam; great grandchildren, Alaya Dunnam, James Dunnam, and numerous other great grandchildren; special friends, Chirstopher Peavy and David Keel; numerous other relatives and friends.

The Visitation will be Friday, November 7, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Stephen Crigler officiating. Burial will follow in Rocky Creek Cemetery.
