Enoch Monroe “Boney” Thompson, age 79, passed away June 11, 2021. He was a 1960 graduate of Rocky Creek High School. He was an Ironworker for many years but his passion was horses. He traveled all over the country training and racing Quarter horses with the assistance of his dear friend, Starling Perryman, Jr. He was also a very talented Farrier. He was a hard-working man, a loving father and devoted grandfather to his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, including his beloved dog, Rusty.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Georgia Ann Thompson; parents, Cody Etsel and Mary Wertie Ferguson Thompson, Sr.; siblings, Cody Etsel Thompson, Jr., Bobby Thompson, WR Thompson, Bill Thompson, Rogers Thompson, Sam Thompson, Cody Bill Thompson and Joe Thompson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Suzanne (Drew) Thompson, Tonya (Donnis) Harrison, Chad (Brandie) Thompson, Cody (Brittaney) Thompson and Dusty Rhodes; grandchildren, Leighan (James) Davis, Eric Crocker, Jack Monroe Harrison, Carleigh Hoffman, Presley Harrison, Chandler Thompson, Olivia Thompson, Knox Thompson and Atley Cooper Thompson; great-grandson, Brody Case Davis; siblings, Voncile Thompson Sadka and Tommy (Lyn) Thompson; great-niece, Tina Thompson; numerous other relatives and dear friends.
The Celebration of Life service will be Thursday, June 17, 2021 beginning at 7:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
