Dwain L. Hudson, age 81, of Lucedale, MS went to his heavenly home on Saturday, March 6, 2021. Dwain was born on August 22, 1939 in Lucedale, MS. He was a member of Refuge United Methodist Church. Dwain worked many years at Halter Marine in Moss Point, MS as a welder. After retirement, he had a passion for hunting, fishing and tinkering. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dwain really never met a stranger; he would always greet you with a smile or handshake, maybe sometimes both.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Corine Pierce Hudson; sisters-in-law, Betty Hudson and Linda Lester; great granddaughter, Piper Elizabeth Hudson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Norma Hudson; sons, Keith (Melissa) Hudson of Lucedale and Jamie (Jena) Dickerson of Hurley; daughter, Rebecca (Joe) Williams of Fruitdale, AL; brothers, Burnell Hudson of Alberta, AL, Glendon (Kaye) Hudson of Lucedale, Jerry (Joann) Hudson of Lucedale and Rodney (Connie) Hudson of Dover, DE; brothers-in-law Joe Hudson of Lucedale and John Hudson of Lucedale; sisters-in-law, Barbara (Dan) Cole of Marianna, FL and Fran (Phil) Smith of Bastrap, LA; grandchildren, Kimberly Hudson of Lucedale, Ashley Hudson of Lucedale, Matthew (Makayla Duncan) Hudson of Lucedale, Dakota Rice of Lucedale, Harley McCorquodale of Lucedale, Lisa Williams of Fruitdale and Emily Williams of Fruitdale, AL; great granddaughter, Peighton Naomi Hudson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The Visitation for Dwain Hudson, will be Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Moments Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel beginning 11:00 AM with Bro. David Collette and Bro. B.J. Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in Refuge United Methodist Church cemetery. Pallbearers include Robert Hudson, Jr., Doug Hudson, Shawn Hudson, Matthew Hudson, Dakota Rice and Harley McCorquodale.
