Dorothy Ann “Doris” Hovatter, age 81, passed away September 30, 2024. She was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, great grandmother and friend but most of all she was a faithful woman who led her family by showing them what a Godly woman should be.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Lloyd David “Buddy” Hovatter; parents, JE and Joannie Quinn; brothers, James “Jamie” Quinn, Loid Riles, John Riles, Jay Quinn, Sammy Quinn, and Woodrow Quinn; sisters, Ada Quinn, Millie Marie Quinn, Ida Hovatter, Lucille Wilburn, Nellie McInnis, and Sarah Ezell.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Jeanette (Phillip) Parnell, Casey (Louis) Kittrell, and Peggy Leona (JR) Vance; grandchildren, Steven, Luke (Jenn), Justus (Hannah), Adam, Lance (Savannah), Dakota, Kassin, Brandy (Scott), and 5 bonus grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; brother, Leonard (Sue) Riles; numerous other family and friends.
The Visitation will be Friday, October 4, 2024 at Cannan Land United Pentecostal Church from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, October 5, 2024 beginning at 2:00 PM in Cannan Land United Pentecostal Church sanctuary with Bro. David Clark, Bro. Andy Nicholson and Sis. Jean Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at McLeod-Magnolia Cemetery in Leakesville, MS. Pallbearers include Steven Pierce, Luke Pierce, Adam Pierce, Justus Vance, Kassin Kittrell, Dakota Kittrell, and Lance Kittrell.
