Diana Lynn Lowry Pierce, age 79, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2024 surrounded by her family. Born in Iowa, she moved to Southern California with her husband Jerry and began a family. After the passing of Mr. Jerry, she met Mr. Darrell Pierce and the couple blended their families and made Leakesville their home. They owned and operated their own business in automotive services, parts, and supplies. She worked for the Department of Corrections for many years and retired from Southern Mississippi Correctional Institution as a Sergeant. Ms. Diana was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church, a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and dear friend to so many who will miss her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Lowry; father, Harry Martin Waldo; mother, Eliza Lanore Dray (Wayne) Brown; siblings, Anna Jeanne Bruno, Tommy Waldo, Kay Miller, and Wayne Brown, Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Darrell Pierce; children, Marketa Lowry (John) Welch, Steve (Natcha) Pierce, Tony (Belinda) Lowry, Susie (Charlie) Martin, Shawn Lowry (Joel) Cobb, and Christy Lowry (Travis) Eubanks; 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; siblings, Donna LeMay, Linda Sutherland, Steven Brown, Sharon Brown, Linda B. Cleesen, and Marty Brown; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The Visitation will be Friday, July 19, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home, Leakesville. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, July 20, 2024 beginning at 10:00 AM at First United Pentecostal Church of Leakesville with Bro. Myron Schilling officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah United Pentecostal Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Steven Pierce, Luke Pierce, Adam Pierce, Joshua Lowry, Logan Cofield, Lazaro Pascual, and Chad Welch.
