Deirdre Faye Smith

Deirdre Faye Smith, age 72, passed away December 6, 2020. She was born in Lucedale on July 3, 1948 to the late Leonard Tommy and Ida Rae Tanner. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, Nonna and sister. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.        

She is preceded in death by her son, Shane Smith; grandson, Wyatt Everett; parents, Leonard Tommy Tanner and Ida Rae Pierce Tanner.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 53 years, Ronnie Smith; sons, Thomas (Teresa) Smith and Morris (Nancy) Smith; granddaughters, Shayne (James) Everett, Christian Smith, Alexia Merritt, Katelyn (Austin) Carter, Kamryn Smith, Mallory Smith and Anna Klaire Smith; grandson, Tyler Merritt; great grandchildren, Cayden Gonzalez, Jonah Everrett, Oliver Cedotal and Adaline Everett; sisters, Janice Tanner Gordon, Debbie Shields and Lily Mell; brothers, Phillip Richards and Mike Richards; numerous other relatives and friends.                 

The Visitation for Deirdre Smith will be Wednesday, December 9, 2020, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Thursday, December 10, 2020 in the funeral home chapel beginning at 11:00 AM with Bro. Eddie Davidson, Bro. Tommy Mitchell and Bro. Morris Smith officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Agricola Cemetery. Pallbearers include Johnny Smith, Scott Clanton, Tyler Merritt, Dan Grimm, Zack Kinkle and Kristian McRae.
