Dean Pardue

Dean Pardue, age 77, passed away December 21, 2021. He greatly enjoyed attending church and was a faithful member of Straightway Church. He enjoyed birdwatching and being outdoors. He worked hard for many years as a tree surgeon. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, brother and friend.     

He is preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Pardue; sons, Kevin and Keith Pardue; parents, William S. and Thelma Curry Pardue; siblings, Earl Pardue, Therman Pardue, Wilbur Pardue, Johnny Reed, Judson Reed, Paul Reed, Norman Ray Pardue, Iris Rivers, Bernice Weaver and Delores Duglas; brother-in-law, Tommy Lord.     

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Gloria (Russel) Dixon, Darlene Pardue, Charlene Knight and Regina Pardue; sons, William (Tina) Pardue, James Pardue and Leslie “Lett” (Marie) Pardue; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; sister, Marlene (Ed) McMillian; numerous other relatives and friends.  

The Visitation for Dean Pardue will be Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel beginning at 1:00 PM with Bro. Ed McMillian officiating. Burial will follow immediately after the service. Mr. Pardue will be laid to rest by his wife at Straightway Cemetery.  Pallbearers include William Pardue, Lett Pardue, Rusty Dixon, Dale Pardue, Johnathon Taylor, Paul McKissick, Paul McKissick, Jr., and Joey Todd.  Honorary Pallbearers are Troy Bradley, Jr., Russell Dixon, Jeff Beshears, and Michael Stringfellow.
