David and Wanda Dykes

Wanda Dykes, age 57, passed away November 7, 2020. She was a Sunday School teacher and the church secretary for nearly 20 years. She also led a ladies’ jail ministry for over 15 years. She was a devoted wife, wonderful mother, loving Memaw and sister. She was a powerful prayer warrior and dedicated member of her church, Barton Assembly of God.  

David Dykes, age 62, passed away December 18, 2020. He was a devoted husband, loving father, Pawpaw and brother. He was dedicated to his church and to God. He served on the Deacon board at Barton Assembly of God. He was a member of the Union Carpenters for over 34 years.       

Wanda Dykes is preceded in death by her father, Alfred Goff and sister, Carlena Hateley. She was followed in death by her husband, David.   

David is preceded in death by his parent, Onie Eugene Dykes and Clara Beatrice Bryant Goff.

Those left to cherish their memories include their children, Christina (Johnny David) Holston and Davy (Scarlett) Dykes; grandchildren, Asher, Memphis, Axel and Barrett.

Wanda is survived by her siblings, Guy Goff, Monroe “Moomoo” Hateley, Marvin Goff, Rhonda Dueitt, Marlene Stanfill, Beth Hateley, Lisa Bosarge, Mitchell Goff, Danny Goff, Steven Goff and Marley Sexton; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.     

David is survived by his siblings, Tommy Dykes, Teresa Darden, Wanda Lockley, Mary Ann Gedrich and Cecil Goff; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.                    

The Graveside for Wanda and David Dykes will be Sunday, January 3, 2021 beginning at 2:00 PM in Tanner’s Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Stephen Jones, Bro. Donny Williams and Bro. Andy Dueitt officiating.
