Obituary

Daphne Elaine Brown, age 73, of Lucedale, MS, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Greene County Health and Rehab. Daphne was born March 19, 1950 in Lucedale, MS.

Daphne was loved by many and had a benevolent heart. She was a long time assistant teacher for the Greene County School System. She was an avid gardener and bird watcher who really enjoyed nature and being outdoors. Her artistic talents ranged from being a talented crocheter to painting. She was also an outstanding cook.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Truman Brown; her parents, Willis Carlton Jackson and Sarah Elizabeth (Woodard) Jackson and brother, Willis Carlton (WC) Jackson, Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Dayton Lyle Brown; granddaughter, Destyne Ann Brown; great granddaughter, Peighton Elaine Grace Brown; siblings, Mami Lou Ellis and Richard Douglas Jackson.

The family will hold services at a later date.
