Daniel “Dan” Herbold, age 71, passed away April 21, 2026. He had a very generous nature and served in the United States Coast Guard in the engine room in the late 1970s. He had an associate's degree in prosthetics and spent his later years in life as a machinist. Dan was a gifted wildlife wood carver and a proud member of the NRA. He loved his dogs and his Corvette. He will be greatly missed.       

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Donna Herbold; siblings, Nancy, Betsy, Donna Jr., Donnie, and George; nephew, Christian.

Those left to cherish his memory include his siblings, Becca (Ray) Kutos, Laurie Ward, Abby (Bob) Pontiff, Edith (Bruce) Eckenberg; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
