Daisy Mae Frye Blankinchip

On Sunday, August 11, 2024, our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Daisy Mae Frye Blankinchip, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.

Daisy was born in Piave, MS, located in Greene County, to Walter and Stella Frye. She was next to the youngest child of ten children. During her childhood, the family moved to Lucedale, MS, where she stayed until she married Marvin in 1954.

She and Marvin moved several times during their marriage and eventually settled in Huntsville, AL, where they resided until Marvin's retirement. They then moved back to her homestead, Lucedale.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 70 years, Marvin Blankinchip ; her children, Angela Snodgrass (Jim), Sharon Chappell (Bill); Rebecca Jeffries (Keith), and Clifford Blankinchip. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, and 8 of her sisters and brothers. 

The Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 10:00 AM until 10:30 AM at First Baptist Church in Leakesville. The Funeral Service will begin at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Lucedale.
