Chuckie Gene Pipkins Obituary

Chuckie Gene Pipkins, age 63, passed away June 21, 2026. He graduated from George County High School and continued his education at MGCCC in the welding program. He worked in his trade at Ingalls Shipbuilding for over 10 years. He also operated heavy equipment and kept it all running, ‘with the patience of Job’. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, brother, and true friend. He put others before himself in all aspects of life and will be greatly missed.    


He is preceded in death by his son, Daniel Gene Pipkins; parents, Marilyn Jean Reeves and James Curtis Pipkins.


Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 42 years, Sarah Barber; children, Tiffany Pipkins and Nicole Barber; siblings, Kathy (John) Deering, James Punky (Delna) Pipkins, Timothy (Stacy) Pipkins, Jason Pipkins; grandchildren, MaKayla Nelson, Colton Welford, MaKenzi Barber, and Casen Parker; sister-in-law, Patricia Purvis; numerous other relatives and friends.     


The Celebration of Life will be Friday, June 26, 2026 at Riverside Full Gospel Church from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
