Charles G. Swindell

Charles G. Swindell, age 65, went home to be with the Lord on June 27, 2019. He was born in Mineral Wells, Texas to the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Swindell. He worked as an outside machinist at Ingalls Shipbuilding for many years. He was a talented, hard-working individual who enjoyed wood-working, American History, and was an excellent role model for his sons. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. His life-lessons will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Griffin and Imagene Ruthellen Maples Swindell.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Rheather Swindell; sons, Christopher Swindell, Heath (Mandy) Swindell and Shay (April Love) Swindell; grandchildren, Brennon, Joshua, Adalynn, Noah and Paige Swindell; sisters, Linda McCormick, Andra (Martin) Doyle, Nancy (Walter) Holmes and Kathy Smith; Toni Swindell and Michelle Dueitt; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.       

The Visitation for Charles Swindell will be Monday, July 1, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Walter Holmes and Bro. Brandon Stanford officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Springs cemetery in Hurley. Pallbearers include Brennon Swindell, Steven Wilkerson, Martin Doyle, Tommy Sherrod, Lonnie Williams and Jerry Holmes. Honorary pallbearer is Joshua Swindell.
