Charles Henry Rose Obituary
Charles Henry “Charlie” Rose, age 78, passed away January 9, 2026. He was a 1964 graduate of George County High School. He was drafted in 1967, into the Army and served in Vietnam. Shortly after his return home, he joined the Pipefitters Local 52 in Montgomery, Alabama. He worked as a Union Pipefitter until his retirement in 2003. He had two passions in life; first was Ford vehicles and the second was cheering on his Ole Miss Rebels of whom he was a lifelong fan. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and friend to many. He will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Chester Rose and Susie Holifield Cook; brothers, Roy Polson and Tom Polson; sisters, Lorene Rogers and Helen Kennedy.
Those left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Rachael (Ben) Havard and Temple Rose; brother, Bob Rose; brother-in-law, David Rogers; grandchildren, Josi (Wendell) Fairley, Trey (Emily) Havard, Bella Price, Makenzie and Makayla Evans; 6 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The Visitation will be on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral will be at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Tommy Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Barton Baptist Church Cemetery.
