Charles Edward “Eddie” Hobby, age 44, passed away January 23, 2025. He started early elementary in the George County School District, where his mother was teaching. He later transferred to Greene County. He greatly enjoyed time on the baseball field during the summers. He received his GED at the young age of 16 and entered the workforce. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, and dear friend whose fun-loving spirit will be missed.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jesse Alfred Hodges and Irene Hanson Hodges; paternal grandparents, Crawford “Buddy” Hobby and Lavonia “Sis” Howard Hobby; step-father, Lawrence Aricer.
Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Carole Hodges Aricer and Michael Clay (Ginny) Hobby; siblings, Katie Elizabeth Hobby Aricer, and Michael “Paul” (Shelitha) Hobby; nephews, Sean Stevens, Riley Parker, Carson Parker, Gage Wehr, Michael Paul Hobby, II, and Jesse Alexander Hobby; numerous other relatives and friends.
The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Moments Funeral Home beginning at 2:00 PM.
