Carol Ann Johnson, 55, of Irvington passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on February 7, 1970, in Lucedale, Mississippi, Carol was the daughter of the late Johnny and Ruby Smith of Lucedale, Mississippi. She spent many years as a waitress and a few years as a collection representative before becoming sick from renal failure. After a long illness, Carol could still recall every word to any song from the 70s and 80s. Throughout all of the years, her favorite thing to do was spend time with family.
Carol is survived by her sons, Johnathan Williamson, Ryan (Christina) Williamson of Mobile, Alabama, and Derek “DJ” Gause Jr, of Irvington, AL; sister, Johnnie Lynn (Mike) Cannon of Irvington, AL, and her brother, Chris (Sarah) Smith of Lucedale, MS; loving partner of 7 years, Terry Weeks; four grandchildren, Wyatt, Brooklyn, Everleigh, and Ryder; nieces and nephews, Sheldon Cannon, Mandalyn Cannon, Max Smith, Jackson Smith, Abigail Smith, Ava Smith, Zayne Smith, and Grayson Smith; many other cousins and loved ones.
The Visitation will be Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jeff Gardner and Bro. Martin Poe officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include Johnathan Williamson, Ryan Williamson, Derek “DJ” Gause Jr., Max Smith, Jackson Smith, and Sheldon Cannon.
