Carl Edward Demouey Obituary

Carl Edward Demouey, age 94, passed away on May 31, 2026. Carl retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding after more than twenty years of dedicated service as a pipe welder. He was a faithful member of Trinity Pentecostal Church, where he faithfully supported his beloved wife, Gloria Poole Demouey, in her ministry of teaching and leading others to the Lord. A devoted husband for over 58 years, Carl lovingly cared for Gloria and was a constant source of strength and encouragement throughout their life together. He enjoyed spending time on the water, fishing and shrimping, and found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. Carl was a true gentleman, known for his gentle and quiet spirit that will be greatly missed by all who knew him.


He is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Ann Demouey; son, Randy Demouey; parents, Walter Edward and Nora Clark Demouey; siblings, Floyd Eugene Demouey, Ellis Clyde Demouey Sr., Irma Isabelle Demouey Lambert, Earl Davis Demouey, Emma Elizabeth Demouey Isham, Myrtis Lee Demouey, Melvin Denny Demouey, Verna Lavinia Demouey, Hermes Willard Demouey, and twin sister, Margie Edwina Demouey Jackson.


Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Carlton (Rose) Demouey and Lisa (Craig) Rogers; grandchildren, Gina Greer, Justin Rogers, Hannah Rogers, Cathleen Demouey, and Cameron Demouey; great grandchildren, Haily Speese, Jayden Greer, Willow Bowden, Trenton Rogers, Izzy Rogers, and Chloe Rogers; great great grandson, Roman Miguel; numerous other relatives and friends.


The Visitation will be Monday, June 8, 2026 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Graveside Service will be Tuesday, June 9, 2026 beginning at 10:00 AM at W.R. Clark Cemetery with Bro. J.R. Alexander officiating. Pallbearers include Justin Rogers, Cameron Demouey, Christopher Crawley, Josh Cain, David Cain, and Craig Rogers.
