Britney Constance (Nielsen) Daughtry

Britney Constance Daughtry, 26, of Lucedale, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2020 from complications with COVID.  She was born November 10, 1993 in Mobile, Alabama at Providence Hospital.

Britney graduated with the class of 2012 from Robertsdale High School in Robertsdale, Alabama where she was adored by her classmates, teachers and administrators. Britney moved to Lucedale after meeting the love of her life, Jared Daughtry.  She and Jared had a wonderful life together raising their beautiful daughter, Justyce.  As a family, they enjoyed spending time outdoors, having bonfires and riding four-wheelers.  They visited several states including Oregon and Montana, where Britney loved seeing the mountains.  She had many close friends, including her “Coco,” Courtney, who became her best friend in middle school.

Britney had an adventurous spirit and was a beacon of light to all who met her.  She loved being at the beach or in the woods.  Britney was an avid coffee drinker and bargain shopper.  If she got a great deal on a gift for someone, there was no doubt she would give them that gift immediately, rather than wait for a holiday.  Britney was all about brightening up someone’s day.  A supportive friend and selfless giver, Britney truly had a servant’s heart.  Friends and family meant everything to Britney.  She was known for being spunky, goofy and free-spirited.  She adored spending time with her brothers and bragged about them to everyone.  Britney was incredibly proud of Jared and Justyce and loved them more than words could describe.  she often called Justyce her little twin and would laugh at how spunky their four-year-old daughter had become.

Britney recently decided to pursue her passion for the outdoors by starting a nature photography business.  Her favorite animal to photograph was her sweet dog, Dottie.  Britney’s loving, empathetic nature was like a magnet to animals, as with people.   Her soul was pure and her excitement for life was evident in all her actions.  Britney’s smile and laugh will live on in our hearts forever. 

Britney is survived by her husband, Jared Daughtry; daughter, Justyce Daughtry; parents, Joey (Carol) Nielsen and Kim (Jeff) Stone; brothers, Kelly Nielsen, Jacob Stone and Kael Nielsen; grandparents, Ron and Paula Baecher, Kenny and Marsha Nielsen, Roy and Lynn Odom and Steve and Pam Stone; many other dear family and friends.
