Brenda Sue Franklin

Brenda Franklin, age 57, passed away March 17, 2022. She loved to garden, write, color, travel, and site-see, especially to waterfalls. Brenda treasured time with her family, grandkids and dog, Brody. She loved to read her Bible and tell others about Jesus. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Hugh and Linda Marlene Hines Sims; brother, James “Bo” Sims. 

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Tommy Franklin; daughters, Ashley Nicole Anderson, Brettney (Brian) Grant and Stephanie (Byron) Vinzant; grandchildren, Lily Anderson, Liam Anderson, Abby Anderson, Madison Brooke Irby, Hannah Grace Irby, Cadence Jewels Irby, Alysa Jayde Irby, Jayda Ann Grant, Jordan Alexander Grant, Jakobe Ayson Grant, Zackary Vinzant, Jason Vinzant, Raven Vinzant, Hayden Vinzant, Layla Vinzant, Elijah Kol Vinzant and Nova Jule Vinzant; siblings, Linda Maxine McKissick, Glenda (Phillip) McKissick, Sarah Sims, Melissa (Mark) Bates and Earl Covington; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.                  

The Visitation for Brenda Sue Franklin will be Monday, March 28, 2022 from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM at Geiger Apostolic Church. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM in the church sanctuary with Bro. Phillip McKissick officiating. Burial will follow in Dorothy’s Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers include Aaron McKissick, Shelton McKissick, George Franklin, Paul Franklin, James Franklin and Jason Vinzant.
