Bonita Lynn Groves

Bonita Lynn Groves, age 62, passed away February 26, 2025. She was a graduate of Westpoint High School and continued her education at Mississippi State University, where she received her BA in Political Science. She received her Master’s Degree in Education from William Carey College. She worked many years in the George County School System as a teacher at Agricola Elementary School. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmama, sister, and trusted friend.                 

She is preceded in death by her parents, George Theo Winter, and Sara Ellen Guest Winter; sister, Wanda Ella Winter. 

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Wylie Groves; four children, Weston (Lisa) Groves, Bruce (Hilary) Groves, Richard (Tianna) Groves, and Anna Groves; grandchildren, Brianna Mcclamroch, Weston Groves, Jr., Zoey Groves, Lilian Groves, Emma Groves, Owen Groves, Wyatt Groves, Connor Groves, Rylen Groves, and Parker Groves; siblings, Sheila Winter (Ali) Ravandi, Mark Winter, Steve (Teresa) Winter, and Patrick (Hailey) Winter; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.         

The Visitation will be Friday, March 7, 2025 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 8, 2025 beginning at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
