Betty Jo Keller

Betty Jo “Granny Bett” Keller, age 90, passed away peacefully October 9, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was a member of Bexley Baptist Church for many years. She greatly enjoyed quilting, making quilt tops, sewing, canning jelly, shopping, and fishing. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and dear friend who will be missed.    

She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Charles Keller; parents, Marvin and Mattie Walters Howard; son, Dexter Cloyd Mizell, Jr.; siblings, Lola McMillian, Stella Crawley, Roberta Byrd, Lena Ready, Wesley Howard, Marvin Howard, Jr., Benard Howard,             

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Sylvia Jo (David) Dunnam, Donald W. (Teresa) Mizell, and Marlene (George) Broussard; eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; siblings, Irene (James) Havard, Herbie (Patricia) Howard, Alfred (Bennie) Howard, and Herman “Skeet” (Grace) Howard; numerous other relatives and friends.         

The Visitation for Betty Jo Keller will be Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Marvin Howard Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mickey Whigham, Michael Woytek, Dusty Herrmann, Andy Williamson, Daniel Ready.
