Betty Lou Cochran

Betty Lou Cochran, age 96, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025. She was a lifelong member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, where she faithfully served as a WMU Director, Sunday school teacher and VBS volunteer for many years. Betty Lou found joy in crocheting and treasured the time she spent with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Cochran; son, Kimble Cochran; daughter-in-law, Shelly Cochran; parents, Charles Holland and Lizzie Ranager Holland; siblings, Helen Holland, Buster Holland, Charles Holland, Jr., Bill Holland, Cohen Holland, and Jerry Holland. 

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, David H. Cochran, Donald F. Cochran, Carroll D. (Beth) Cochran, and Kevin J. (Tracy) Cochran; grandchildren, Tara (Will) Daigle, Kindle (Chip) Rogers, Drew Cochran, Lonnie Cochran, Luke Cochran, Whitney (Clint) Baker, Adam Cochran, Brock Cochran, Nic Cochran, Bobby Cochran, Lucas Cochran, Allie Cochran, Jacob Cochran, Bobby Williams and Lucas Williams; 13 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Kawaoka; daughter-in-law, Glenda Cochran; numerous other family and friends.

The Visitation will be Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 at Shady Grove Baptist Church. The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 PM in the church sanctuary with Bro. Jamie Cochran, Bro. Bruce McKenzie and Bro. Richard Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include her grandsons Drew Cochran, Adam Cochran, Brock Cochran, Nic Cochran, Luke Cochran, and Evan Daigle. Honorary Pallbearers include Jacob Cochran, Bobby Williams, and Lucas Williams.
