Bennett Monroe Riley, age 78, passed away on November 30, 2024. He was a faithful member of the Brushy Creek church of Christ. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother who enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his great-great grandchildren.   

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harley Shirley and Mary Irma Lee Walker Riley; siblings, Bill Riley, Newett Riley, Mildred Riley Huddleston, and Jessie Jean Riley Delaney Couch.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Janice Regina Riley; grandchildren, James Adam (Jaquita) Howard, and Jason “Charles” (Donna) Howard; great-grandchildren, Carrie Nicole (Jonathan) Chandler, Courtney Marie (Dalton) Howard, James Monroe (Kayla) Howard, and Brittany Cheyenne (Spencer) Pokejoy; great-great grandchildren, Bennett Mitchell Howard, Tripp Chandler, Chase Alexander Barker, and Addlynn Grace Montgomery; sister, Leerette (David) Pipkins; best friend, Donald Ray Cook; numerous other relatives and friends.

The Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Morris Smith. Burial will follow at Brushy Creek church of Christ Cemetery. Pallbearers include Spencer Montgomery, James Howard, Dalton Todd, Marshall Holliman, David Holliman, and Jonathan Chandler.
