Benjamin Thomas Brown, age 49, passed away peacefully June 6, 2025. He was a 1993 graduate of George County High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force. He worked for many years as a Derrickman offshore until his life-changing accident. He greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a devoted supporter of all things George County and Mississippi State. He was a talented story teller who was never at a loss for words. He loved his family greatly, was a member of Vernal Full Gospel Church, a loving son, brother, father, uncle, and dear friend to many.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Greene Brown; paternal grandmother, Jessie J. Clark; paternal grandfather, Roy Dewitt Brown; maternal grandfather, Don Thomas Greene; grandfathers, Grady Landrum and Sherrie Clark.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Natalie Brown (Patrick) Nix, Jeremiah Laine (Ashlyn) Beard, Garret Christian (Kimberlee) Brown, Brycen Thomas Brown, and Adielynn Dawn Brown; grandchildren, Madison Grace Beard, Zackary Ray Beard, Oakley Laine Beard, Jazlynn Marie Brown, and Grayson Carter Brown; father, Ben (Louise) Brown; siblings, Tabitha Brown (Brandon) Davis and Jennifer Brown (Jourdan) Green; nine nieces and nephews; one great niece and one great nephew; maternal grandmother, Joy Landrum; numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.
The Visitation will be Monday, June 16, 2025 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, June 17, 2025 beginning at 3:00 PM at Rocky Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Brandon Davis and Bro. Jourdan Green officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the service begins at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow in Rocky Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers include Garret Brown, Brycen Brown, Laine Beard, Scott Rogers, Chris Havard, Keiler Brown, Todd Greene, Jr, and Travis Brown. Honorary Pallbearers include Conner Green, Trysten Green, Blane Green, Jackson Davis, Ben Davis and Grant Davis.
